Cotton Fabric

Cotton Fabric

Cotton is a natural fiber extracted from the seed hairs of the cotton plant. It consists of more than 90% cellulose, which results in one of the highly moisture absorbent materials. India occupies second place among the major traditionally growing areas for this fiber and its processing. As a result, GREEN KAMA also has the necessary know-how to manufacture or to source products of the highest quality. Cotton weaves are extremely resistant, yet pleasant and beautiful in touch and appearance. This is particularly due to the good dyeability property of the resulting fabrics. All in all, cotton is one of the most uncomplicated materials ever and a dream when it comes to care.

Cotton is used in addition to the medical sector, especially in the clothing and textile industry. Just look around at home, you will surely find products in which cotton has been processed. Bed linen, towels, blankets, T-shirts and carrier bags, for example, are made from the fiber. However, there are large differences in quality, which are already evident during harvesting, in the fiber length and then in the further processing of the cotton.

GREEN KAMA offers you a range of ready-made fabrics in different qualities, as well as finished products. However, we manufacture the latter primarily at the customer’s request in order to conserve resources and meet the exact needs of our customers. Contact us! We will be happy to advise you.

What Makes Cotton Fabric So Special!
Cotton is timeless, but also versatile. It is often combined not only in its pure form, but also as a mixed fabric with other fibers for textile production. This takes advantage of the different properties of different fibers and combines them to manufacture unique products. See also our GREEN KAMA fabric JUCO, a combination of cotton and jute fibers. Benefits of Green Products

icon-1

Environmentally Friendly Production

Green fabrics are often made from renewable resources such as organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, or recycled materials. The production processes are designed to minimize environmental impact, reducing the use of harmful chemicals and water consumption.

icon-2

Reduced Carbon Footprint

Many green fabrics have a lower carbon footprint compared to traditional fabrics. The use of sustainable materials and energy-efficient manufacturing processes helps mitigate the overall environmental impact of fabric production.

icon-3

Biodegradability

Some eco-friendly fabrics are biodegradable, meaning they can break down naturally over time without leaving behind harmful residues. This contributes to reducing the accumulation of non-biodegradable waste in landfills.

icon-4

Healthier for Consumers

Green fabrics often avoid the use of toxic chemicals and pesticides in their production. This can result in textiles that are gentler on the skin and less likely to cause allergic reactions or other health issues.

icon-5

Water Conservation

Sustainable fabric production methods typically involve water-saving techniques, such as rainwater harvesting, reduced water usage in dyeing processes, and more efficient water recycling systems. This helps address water scarcity concerns.

Longevity and Durability

High-quality sustainable fabrics are often designed to be durable, contributing to longer product lifespans. This contrasts with fast fashion, which can lead to a cycle of excessive consumption and waste.
